Those living in parts of the western and central U.S. could witness up to 12 inches of snow. Although this brings an end to snow dry spells, it could disrupt travel plans for some. Winter storm warnings and watches have been issued by the National Weather Service across seven states.

An influx of winter snowstorms is expected in several regions across the country, including Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Minnesota, and South Dakota. The snowstorm is predicted to be strong enough to induce the first significant snow of the season in western mountain ranges including the Colorado Rockies.
