Following almost a whole week of deadly, record-breaking heat, the village of Lytton, located in British Columbia, Canada, now has a new tragedy to overcome. After experiencing unprecedented heat and dry conditions for almost a full week, a fire broke out on June 30, which according to eyewitnesses, engulfed the village in just a few minutes. By the evening of June 30, communities north of Lyton were ordered to evacuate as the wildfire grew.
